At Acton Academy Calgary Central, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a learner-driven environment, regardless of financial circumstances. Our student bursary and financial aid program is designed to remove barriers, making our innovative education accessible to families who share our vision of developing courageous, independent thinkers.

Bursary Value and Availability

Bursaries (student financial aid) are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage families to apply as early as possible. We are committed to supporting families requiring financial support by offering a limited number of bursaries each year. This financial assistance helps students step into their hero’s journey with confidence and purpose.

Who is Eligible for a Student Bursary?

We welcome applications from families who:

Demonstrate a need for financial aid, as determined through our application process.
Families that have been accepted to attend Acton Academy Calgary Central (or who are in the process of applying and later accepted).

How to Apply

Complete the regular application for school admission in addition to a separate email sent to admin@actoncentral.org including:

Demonstrate a financial need for the student bursary program by providing supporting financial documents, including the previous year’s T4, Notice of Assessment (NOA), and a recent pay statement.
Each child requires a separate application; however, only one application per child is necessary, even if the child splits time between two households.

A Community of Contribution

At Acton Academy Calgary Central, we value community and believe in the power of giving back. Families receiving student financial aid are asked to contribute volunteer hours in support of school events and initiatives. These acts of service not only help sustain our learning environment but also create meaningful connections within our community. The required volunteer commitment is determined annually and may be subject to change.

Important Dates & Next Steps

The student bursary application window for the 2025-2026 academic year opens March 1, 2025.
Families will be notified of their application status in June 2025.
Successful applicants will receive a student bursary contract outlining the awarded amount and volunteer commitment expectations.
Once the contract is signed and returned, the awarded amount will be applied toward the student’s tuition, paving the way for their transformative learning experience.
